Construction Works of OPIC’s Building set to begin on the site

Construction works on the building to host the services of the Office of the Public Independent is set to begin.  After the approval of the redesigned project by the Commission in charge of the technical review of the project and the decision taken to install the Contractor, E&T Engineering on the construction site, a visit to the site by the commission led by the Public Independent Conciliator Mme Telelen Dorothy Atabong spouse Motaze, was carried out on Tuesday 29th May 2025 to evaluate the preparedness of the contractor to begin works. During this visit, some recommendations were made to the contractor; E&T Engineering Sarl with regards to the preparation of the site for works to begin.

On Tuesday, the installation proper of the E&T Engineering was carried out on the site. Members of the Technical Commission led by Mme the Public Independent Conciliator present at the site for the visit while representatives from the Ministries of Public Works, Housing, Town planning and Urban Development and Public Contracts were also present. Equally present was VIKTO TECKNIKS, the enterprise in charge of managing the project and ensuring the control of works. In this regard, the Commission visited the make-shift building to host the meeting room and offices of engineers on the site.

The Commission members also Public Independent Conciliator also reviewed  the technical team of the building company, E&T Engineering Sarl, in its capacity as the Contractor. At the end of the visit, some recommendations were made by the commission to the Contractor for the improvement of the site and the commencement of work.
